The American Factor: US Diplomacy and the Trajectory of Iran's Nuclear Issue, 2003-15

"The American Factor: US Diplomacy and the Trajectory of Iran's Nuclear Issue, 2003-15," is the title of my book chapter which has recently appeared in United States Relations with China and Iran: toward the Asian Century, edited by Osmah Khalil, associate professor of history at Syracuse University, and published by Bloomsbury Academic . The chapter provides an overview to Iran's nuclear issue and analyzes how US diplomacy played a major part in prolonging and finally settling (though temporarily) this international dispute. The chapter can be beneficial especially for undergraduate students, but also for graduate students as well as general readers, who wish to gain familiarity with the origin and trajectory of Iran's nuclear issue and how US policy affected the chances of its resolution during Bush and Obama administrations. The book also contains chapters by other authors on the history of US involvement in Iran as well as US-China relations. It can be ordered online here or here.
